When chauffeur vacancies are available, Murray Chauffeur Services seeks exceptional candidates who can meet its high professional standards. Experienced professional chauffeurs are preferred. However, applicants with less experience and a willingness to learn may also be considered where they demonstrate exceptional potential. Opportunities may be available on an employed or self-employed basis.

What We Expect from Our Chauffeurs

Confidentiality

Discretion and respect for client privacy are fundamental to Murray Chauffeur Services. All of our chauffeurs are expected to safeguard confidential client information and are asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. This does not prevent disclosures that are permitted or required by law.

Punctuality

Punctuality is essential. Murray chauffeurs are expected to arrive 15 minutes before each scheduled pick-up and contact the passenger to confirm their location.

Professionalism

A calm and professional manner is of the utmost importance. We look for candidates who demonstrate the personal qualities and practical skills required to meet the standards expected of a Murray chauffeur.

Vehicle Requirements

Where an applicant will provide their own vehicle, the following requirements apply:

A valid Transport for London private hire vehicle licence
A current MOT certificate, where required by Transport for London’s licensing rules
Valid hire-and-reward insurance
Normally less than three years old

Chauffeur Recruitment Requirements

Three years’ chauffeur experience is preferred; exceptional applicants with less experience may be considered
Two character references
Smart professional attire
Excellent topographical knowledge
